It tastes a bit like the stuff that accumulates in the treads of your shoes, smeared on burnt toast and mixed with baking soda and sour cream all food-processed together.

Half the calories in a sandwich or burger can be just the mayo!! So lose the mayo and get a diet coke or w/e and theres a few hundred calories avoided right there.

If you are on a Low Carb diet...then Mayo is good for you.

What annoys me is when I order Mayo...and they give me MiracleWhip....

Miracle Whip is NOT Mayonase!!

What? Mayo's especially good because of the fat, it keeps the blood in your arteries nice and warm

Depends on what research you are reading. Mrs Dood has done the research. She has been a Nurse for over 25 years. A Cartiac Nurse is her specialty. She has been on the Low Carb diet for a year now. FAT is not as bad as they said it is.....Sugar or Carbs are! Why do you think our ancestors where actually healthier? They ate FAT! Meat...mostly. Very little sugars.

Nothing wrong with mayo....Miracle Whip is worst...it is loaded with sugar!

Fat is good stuff in the right amount. They just seem to go overboard in burgers and sandwiches tho.

Make your own sandwiches!

Premade burgers(Mc Donald's) and the like have way too much sodium (salt) in them. That is what really hurts you there.

Also notice why we are having so many more health problems today?

It is the Sugar intake. Look at all the problems with kids and the attention disorders....SUGAR!

there will always be kids with behavioral problems ... it could be the refined sugars .... or TV/media violence, .... etc.

.... some kids probably just need a good smacking.

No argument there! I was not a TIME OUT parent! Wooden Spoons were my weapon of choice. I didnt even need to use them most of the time...just act like I was looking for them in the drawer...when I actually could see them right on top.

Seriously...I am firm in my belief's that diet is a major cause of behaviour problems with kids today...adults for that matter....

Here I am told I can't smoke outside of the gym at my kid's school...."for the children...." But they blew me off when I wanted the schools to get rid of the vending machines....oh...they need the revenue for that...at the "Children's expense". So typical!

I think I agree with Dood. Also vegetables these days have ONE QUARTER the amount of nutrients per lb than they did 40 (IIRC which I'm unsure about some number of decades between 2 and 4) years ago o_O. I read this on a newspaper on the train 2 years ago forgot the paper and didn't keep the page so sorry no linkie. No wonder folks go for the cheese pizza instead of the unsatisfying salad.
